The man behind the mic.

I didn’t choose voice. Voice chose me.

I am Thabang Makhubela — a storyteller who specialises in audio branding, vocal performance and persuasive communication. At my core, I am Christian, rooted in faith and service. That foundation shapes everything I do — how I show up, how I listen, and how I help others find their voice.

Outside of the studio I’m a cyclist, an art and sneaker collector, and someone who makes sauces from scratch. These aren’t hobbies — they’re practices that keep me curious, disciplined and present. The same qualities I bring into every session, every script, every strategy.

Professionally, I work at the intersection of sound, story and strategy — connecting people, ideas and opportunities in meaningful ways. With a background in media, storytelling, entrepreneurship and an MPhil in International Business from GIBS, I bring both creative instinct and business intelligence to everything I touch.

My vision is simple: to use voice and storytelling to inspire transformation. Not just in studios and boardrooms, but in people.

I’ve had the privilege of creating distinctive auditory experiences for brands such as Kaya959 (Station Voice), HarperCollins, eMedia, Investec, Dettol, Black Label, Spar, eTV, eNCA, Newzroom Afrika, Big Brother Mzansi, Game, OpenView, Goldwagon, Shell, the Dubai Expo, Spec Savers, Twizza, One Gospel, Relay Jeans, Renault, Capitec, Gems, Tastic, the Gauteng Film Commission (GFC), Colgate, Dstv, Mzansi Magic and John Deere, FNB and eBucks, Burger King, Handy Andy, Clientele, Build It, SuperSport, SuperSport Bet, bp Southern Africa, Famous Brands, 99FM, Future Media Holdings, Sorbet, Unisa, World Sports Betting, eVod, TransUnion, Russel and Associates, The South African Music Awards, ABSA, ARC, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW – Voice of M-Fest 2024, ICC Champions Trophy, Mahindra, Coke, Heineken, Sasria, Tsogo Sun, Panado, Disney, Bidvest, BiB Africa and more. I have also voiced 6 audio books, including ‘A Native of Nowhere: The Life of Nat Nakasa,’ A Father is Born, The Mine and Nearly All The Men In Lagos Are Mad.

I was the voice of the 2025 Formula 1 season.

Whatever brought you here — welcome. There’s work to be done.
